The GCISD Walk of Honor Committee is proud to announce the 2023 honorees of the GCISD Walk of Honor. These two individuals have served the District with honor, distinction, and service and will be honored permanently with plaques at Mustang Panther Stadium.

Linda Tidmore
Linda Tidmore came to GCISD in 1980. During her first three years at Grapevine Middle School she was named Teacher of the Year for the district. Initially a reading teacher she became the counselor there for seven years and then became Assistant Principal at Bear Creek Elementary and later Heritage Middle School. She then was principal at Colleyville Elementary and became the first principal at Glenhope Elementary when it opened in 1995. Following her years at GES she served as principal at Cross Timbers Middle School for 13 years, where she received the PTA Lifetime Membership Award. She retired after 48 years in education but continued to serve as a volunteer in the community. She was education liaison for Leadership Colleyville and served as president of the Grapevine Colleyville Association of Retired School Employees. Linda worked with student teachers through the Teach for America program. She received her BS from Texas Tech University and her Master of Education from Arizona State University. Her peers and students have high regard for her warmth and giving spirit, attributing her success to her “heart knowledge” as well as her “head knowledge”.
